Celluma® LED Light Therapy

We recommend Celluma® LED Light Therapy system which works by emitting a low level light energy.  This light travels to the deeper layers of your skin which triggers natural intracellular reactions. This in turn adds volume to your face by encouraging the production of the plumping molecules and collagen. We can target the affected area thereby reducing inflammation whilst normalising circulation using a combination of different light wavelengths.

Who can Celluma® LED Light Therapy help?

LED light is a great way of calming your skin whilst stimulating it to heal and regenerate.  You will notice wrinkles are smoothed and reduced in appearance while your skin feels firmer. This treatment is useful for a number of different skin concerns including rosacea, ageing, acne, dermatitis and eczema.

Analysis and treatment planning

We will assess your skin thoroughly before we recommend a treatment. Then, we will only recommend the right one for your needs.  We will give you indication of how many treatments we think you will need.  Having said this, everyone’s skin is different. With this in mind, we will get a clearer picture after we see how your skin reacts to the first treatment with blue LED light. Most importantly, this is a safe, highly effective and preventative treatment that does not use abrasive chemicals. So if you are a sufferer of any of these upsetting skin condition, talk to our therapists about how we can help you.

  • Frequently asked questions

What is LED therapy?

LED, or light emitting diode therapy, is a skincare treatment that uses varying wavelengths of light, including red and blue.

LED light therapy is now used by aestheticians to help regenerate your skin having successfully been used by U.S. Navy SEALs for wound treatment.

We use red or blue light frequencies based on your skincare concern. Red is primarily used for anti-ageing, while blue is good for problematic skin.

How safe is LED therapy?

LEDs do not contain ultraviolet rays, unlike other types of light therapy. This mean, they are safe for regular use. LED light therapy does not cause burns like chemical peels, dermabrasion, and laser therapy can. As a result, it is safe for all skin colours and types.

Medical Contra-indications

You should not have LED light therapy if you take Accutane for acne. The reason for this is that it could irritate the condition.  Likewise, if you experience skin rashes, you should not have, or should stop, the treatment.  This is because, as with acne, it could aggravate the condition. Side effects are rare, but include for example,  increased inflammation, redness, and rashes.

We are delighted to offer this treatment, which has full approval from the FDA*.  This gives us complete peace of mind and trust it will for you too.
